| [[ http://www.splparts.com/ ]] HKS EIDS and EIDS-Pro Mass air sensor (MAS) equipped cars do not like BOVs. When a BOV vents to the atmosphere, air that has already been metered by the MAF goes missing, and the ECU will flood your engine with fuel intended for the air that was vented. On high power cars running a lot of boost, this can be bad enough to cause your car to stumble and die. The HKS EIDS monitors your throttle and attenuates the MAS signal to compensate for air that is vented. The HKS EIDS-Pro is intended for higher horsepower cars needing more signal correction. I saw this on there sight today. this is the problem with venting to much air with a mas. If you get one of these to fix it then your fine. But with out one your MAS may cause your car to die or back fire. and you lost me on the whole tunning cars on the forum thing. you still just mad a smart ass remark and there was still no sign of a knowledgable answer. HKS Racing Blow-Off Valve Type 2 ITEM # HKS 1421-RA001 This is the newest BOV from HKS. Its all aluminum and will hold more PSI than any other BOV on the market, even other BOV's with the stiff race spring in it. This BOV is rated to hold 800rwhp. So, if you're having trouble holding the pressure now, this is the BOV for you. Please order the flange on this page when you buy the BOV. If you are welding to an aluminum pipe buy the aluminum flange & if you are welding to a steel pipe buy the steel flange. MSRP $510.00 Your Price $427.00 this is only one BOV and it can handle 800HP. if you had six crappy BOV's that could not hold over 25psi, then they would be usless on a high horse power car. but one racing valve can handle more than enough.
